The Story
A stock DeWalt 611 router only accommodates 1/4" shank bits, and doesn’t support precision cutting. This Precise Bits Precision Collet Kit makes it possible to use 1/8" shank bits with the router to do precision work. The total indicated runout (TIR) on this collet is < 0.0004" (0.01mm).
The kit includes a collet nut, precision-grade collet, and wrench for tightening.
PLEASE NOTE – the precision-grade collet can only be used with the specialty collet nut included in this kit. It cannot be used with a standard collet nut.
When using the collet, make sure it snaps into the collet nut before securing it to the spindle. If not done properly, this can cause the collet to get stuck in the router as the extractor ring can’t function.
